What is the minimum age to apply?

Applicants must be at least 18 years old. Very few of our artists are minors, mainly because there are few roles that are intended for them in our current productions. We encourage you to follow your dreams and we will be happy to evaluate your application when you are 18 years old.

Who can apply for the jobs posted on the Cirque du Soleil Casting website?

Only candidates who want to be considered for onstage jobs (e.g. actors, singers, clowns, instrumentalists, acrobats, athletes and circus performers) should apply on the Cirque du Soleil Casting website.

How can I apply for off-stage jobs at Cirque du Soleil?

Candidates who are interested in other job opportunities should visit the Cirque du Soleil Talent website for corporate and technical job opportunities.

Do you accept applications sent by email?

No. Once you have gathered all the necessary material (a CV/résumé, a photo and a video demo of your performance), we invite you to apply online on our website.

How can I submit my application to be considered for an onstage position at Cirque du Soleil?

To apply online, please follow these steps:

Go to the job posting section of our website
Select the job opening you want and click “Apply online” at the bottom of the job description;
A new candidate is a candidate who has never applied online or not applied since July 2012;
Add your CV/résumé, photos and demo of your performance;
Submit your application

Can I apply in more than one discipline?

The Cirque du Soleil Casting team assesses applicants based on their CV/résumé, photos and demos. You can apply for more than one discipline and will be considered if you submit the required video demo for each discipline.

Should I apply for all the job postings in my discipline?

We strongly suggest that you only apply for the relevant postings for your discipline. If your talent fits more than one posting, make sure to include the appropriate video demo for each posting that you apply for. If you have just one video demo, please apply for the most appropriate posting only.

I already created and account. How can I update my material?

To submit a new demo, please follow these steps:

Go to our login page;
New users: Click on the link NEW CANDIDATE to create an account (if you haven’t created one since July 2012);
Existing users: Click on the link MY PROFILE to login to your file (your username is your email address);

Click the Your media link to upload your material.

Which material do I need to provide to apply?

Your application should include a CV/résumé, one or two photos (headshot and body shot) and the required video demo.

In order to be evaluated, all media files and links must be included in the Media files section. Links included in your CV will not be evaluated.

Is there a maximum limit on the size or quantity of files that can be uploaded (multimedia material)?

Yes. The quantity limit is 25 files, and the size limit is 2G for each file.

However, we recommend that you be selective to show us your skills in a precise and appropriate video demo. Your video demo should not exceed twelve (12) minutes, and you should send us only one headshot and one full-body picture.

How long does it take for my application to be assessed by a talent scout?

Unfortunately, the time that we take to assess candidates’ submissions cannot be determined in advance. It depends on current casting needs and the talent scouts’ schedules.

Will I receive an email notification once the talent scout has evaluated my material?

Only the selected candidates will be contacted.

Must I submit all the songs in the evaluation kit available on your website?

For instrumentalist kits: If the kit that you have received includes six or more different songs, we recommend that you record at least four songs. For kits that include many different instruments (e.g. woodwinds), select at least one song per instrument that you play. Do not forget to include a presentation video in your submission.

For singer kits: If the kit that you have received includes six or more different songs, we recommend that you record at least three songs.

What language are most evaluation kit songs in, and are there translations available for these songs?

Most of our songs use an invented language we call “Grommelot.” There is no direct translation of the words. You can sense a certain meaning from the expression of the voice on the reference track, but it’s up to you to find and express a meaning that makes sense to you.

How long do I have to submit my evaluation kit?

For general evaluation kits, we usually ask candidates to send us their kit as soon as possible or no more than three months after creating their profile. After that, we automatically assume that the person is not interested in being evaluated.

How can I retrieve my username if I forgot it?

Your username is your email address.

How can I retrieve the password to my profile if I forgot it?

Click here to reset your password. Enter your username (email address), and a temporary password will be sent to your email address. You will be asked to choose a new one, containing at least eight (8) characters (letters and numbers).

Where can I find the link to upload my material on your website?

Once you’ve logged in, click the Your media link at the top of your page and upload your material.

How can I find out about future auditions?

The best way to find out about future auditions is to go on our website and visit our Audition & Events section.

How old must I be to attend an audition?

In general, you must be 18 years or older to attend an audition.

How do I audition for Cirque du Soleil?

The Casting team hosts auditions around the world for every discipline. You must visit our website and send us your application.

If there are no auditions in your area, please submit your application in the posting that best fits your profile. Our talent scouts will assess your application and if you are selected, you will be invited to audition for us when we visit your region.

Can I audition while there is a show in my town?

The shows do not host auditions for candidates. The best option to be invited in audition is to apply online and submit a video demo of your performance.

What happens after the audition?

If you are selected following an audition, your name is entered in our database of potential artists for casting calls on current shows and upcoming creations. Please note that we do not offer contracts at the end of an audition.

If I have already succeeded once, does attending more auditions increase my chances of getting hired?

No. If you have been successful, your profile will be considered when there are openings that fit your skills. Rest assured that we will contact you if we need additional material.
